The famous Area 47 adventure park in Austria offers some ‘extreme’ activities, but it seems that not all of them are female-friendly. Despite this, a world champion diver who was visiting the park was not deterred by this warning.
Don’t worry about bungee jumping, canyoning, and white-water rapids in the park that are open to everyone. It’s actually the ‘Europe’s fastest waterslide’ that only men can go on that has everyone talking.
Rhiannan Iffland wanted to see what women were not experiencing when she went to the water slide with a friend. She posted a video of herself trying out the scary slide on social media.

Iffland, a seven-time world champion cliff diver, confidently approaches the entrance to the slide, expressing excitement and mentioning that ‘women aren’t allowed to use this’.
She indicates a sign above that says: “Women cannot use this slide due to high risk of injury!”
Ignoring the caution, the 32-year-old appeared unconcerned about the danger of injuring herself – until she had to release the bars and descend a steep vertical drop.
Iffland glances at her friend recording her water park mishap with a look that shows she knew she made a mistake, but it was already too late to go back up the slide.
The Australian diver vanished down the male-only contraption as she screamed, which amused her friend watching from above.

Iffland shared the video on Instagram with the caption: “Living in the moment! YOLO!”.
YOLO indeed.
People went crazy online when they saw the video, and some started investigating why women aren’t allowed to ride the slide at Area 47 adventure park – and there’s a good reason for it.
The reason behind the decision to allow only male visitors to use the attraction is not sexism, but rather the concern for the health and safety of female visitors.
Recently, there have been accounts of women experiencing severe injuries on fast water slides.
Which doesn’t exactly sound fun, does it?
The National Library of Medicine in the US warns that women can suffer severe injuries if high pressured water enters their body, and there is a risk of infections from foreign bodies in the water.

It’s safe to say that a world champion diver who is always close to a pool of water would definitely know this…and you’d be correct.
Iffland explained to news.com.au that she never meant to make fun of the safety rules on the water slide. Safety is always her top priority and she carefully considers any risks involved in her job.
“To suggest otherwise, is wrong,” she said.
People on social media were worried that the Australian woman had attempted a DIY enema by using the slide.
Someone mentioned that it’s alarming how many people don’t grasp why women shouldn’t go on this slide.
Another asked: “Giney wedgie?”
A third added: “I got the worst enema on that slide hahaha you are brave girl.”
Another person added: “Regrettably, I ended up with a water slide enema. I ended up peeing out so much water from my behind that half the swimming pool ended up in the toilet. I couldn’t even stand up straight afterwards. It was the strangest experience of my life.”
